Tactical Speedbump
I was checking one old hard drive and found the Mental Omega mod for Red Alert 2. That mod was very popular back in the day. It felt like developers secretly made a whole new game and hid it online. Modern studios are charging people for tiny DLC meanwhile fans were creating complete experiences for free back then. Honestly some mods even have more soul than official releases now. Once modders truly love a game, it just hit differently.
