Tactical Speedbump
Using a controller for RTS is a punishment disguised as enjoyment. I was talking about this with a friend after trying one strategy game with a controller at my cousin’s place. By the third mission, my fingers were confused. Mouse and keyboard just gives that natural flow. Quick clicks, shortcuts and dragging units around. RTS without mouse feels like a chore.
. I tried it once at my friend’s apartment and nearly lost my sanity. Selecting units felt like fighting a spiritual battle. Mouse and keyboard just fit strategy games naturally.
