General Do you play faster or slower as the game goes on?

I start slow, but once I reach the middle of the game, it becomes a full aggression. Early in the game, I usually do my calculations, build gradually because one mistake can wipe out every other thing. But as I progressed, I don't think too much again, because I already have a solid plan on ground. Sometimes it backfire but at least it's more fun than playing too carefully.
