I have not played a lot of tactical turn based games, I don't even recognize most of the makes on the above list. But I have played XCOM 2 and I believe this game perfected squad-based strategy. It offers wide customization and intense risk-reward mechanics.
I like to go by "Immortal" on some games. The name gives me a sense of power. I am a hobbyist, I have varied interests and I play a lot of games. But most of the time I don't even complete the game. For me it is more about fun and entertainment rather than accomplishment. :D
