I think the DOOM fans 😂 don't ever move on so easily and I respect that . Romero is still dropping content like it just started yesterday. That kind of passion is very rare now. Most devs are fond of abandoning their old games and chasing money instead. But this one shows love to the core fans.
The best thing for them is to deliver 😂 because patience is gone unlike before. It seems remasters now take forever, even when the price is high. If they mess this one up, fans might not forgive them.
Keyboard and mouse all the way 😂 controllers for FPS on PC can be very stressful. I tried it once, spent like 30 mins just to set it up, next thing the sensitivity was so bad. I didn't enjoy it.
The gravity gun mention just wake some memories 😂. It was not an ordinary weapon. I remember the first time i use it, i laughed non stop. Nowadays, the guns are loud and shiny but no personality. That old design is still very preferable.
I will still defend old FPS era any time any day 😂 . Those games have the soul. Now everything is fast and flashy, no depth. These new games feel like noise sometimes. Old games will make you think, not just to react like robots.
I remember when their games feel like an event. This is a reminder on how things that are very grounded could just fade away. EA is to be blamed too, but the truth is that studio has lost its direction long time ago.
I tried going back to play MMO , I nearly lose my sanity. 🤣Those games need time that adult life does not allow that again. Old MMO is very interesting because we have the time then. Now, even a 2 hours session is like a luxury.
Multiplayer Hogwarts sounds sweet but the issue of skins and microtransactions is the major problem here. I prefer a strong single player that is engaging. Not everything must turn to a social experience
I go straight to the settings first. And once I noticed that my fan has started to make noise, I quickly lower everything. After that, I will try to explore the game a little more and also check the controls.
That overpowered unit is a real problem. There was one RTS that I play before, once you stack like 4 heavy units, the game has already ended, no strategy again, you just spam and win. That's all! I dont enjoy that kind of thing. It makes everything predictable and boring.
RNG can be very annoying. I won't lie. It's even worse when it starts deciding everything. I remember one match where I planned to attack, one random nonsense just scattered everything. Because of that, I close the game immediately.
Mine is the opposite. In the early part of the game I rush, but later I calm down. There was a time I rushed to attack very early, I felt like a genius, I mismanaged my resources and everything scattered. Since then I make sure to reduce the speed because one mistake in the late game can waste...
The hero unit is a scam sometimes. 😂 It makes it look like a movie, not a strategy. Strategy is suppose to be all about planning and coordination, not like one person fixing everything overnight.
The visuals can deceive people too much. 😂 I picked one faction just because their base was shining like sci-fi movie, they beat me like a child 😂. Since then I have been wise. Beautiful building does not save you at all.
I tried roleplay and I said I want to be a peaceful leader, the next thing people started attacking me for no reason. I quickly turned into a full dictator. That day I realized that our mood and environment control the gameplay. I don't even force identity again, I just play depending on how...
Early games are very interesting but late games are where you would confirm the authenticity of the game. Early games are based on hope, everybody is still at the stage of experimentations, but late game is a pure pressure. At least, you know what you are getting into.
To be honest, all these long AMA sessions sound nice but half the time they just brag with no real progress. Developers will promise heaven and earth, but the reality is a different story. As it is now, until I see a smooth gameplay on an average PC, I won't believe anything again.
I think we should not overhype this resurrection of games. Certain things are to remain in memories. Not every cancelled game is supposed to come back. EA is not also a saint, they will still find a way to monetize it again if any opportunity surfaces
Low-spec flight sims are almost extinct. Everything now are ultra graphics and they demand RTX card. I faced same issue, and ended up settling for older titles. This is exactly why I stopped chasing modern sims.
