Battlesector is one of my favourite Warhammer games. I’ve always preferred the action of real-time to the thinking behind turn-based, but this game is fast paced (for a turn-based tactics game).

I’m playing through the full campaign Age of Crimson Dawn, starting with the first mission and covering the entire campaign. Mission one is here:

Mission 2: “Venomous Corruption.” Sergeant Carleon leads a mission to recover Brother Aeturo, a Sanguinary Priest, who is harvesting gene-seed from fallen Blood Angels. The operation faces increasing resistance from Tyranid forces entrenched on Baal Secundus.

Mission 3: “Rearm and Resupply.” Sergeant Carleon leads the Blood Angels in a mission to secure a munitions depot on Baal Secundus. The Blood Angels must seize a munitions cache before it’s overrun, rearming under fire as Tyranids close in from all sides.

Mission 4: “Reclamation Zone.” Sergeant Carleon must recover the gene-seed of Sergeant Pentacio and eliminate a Tyrannofex leading the swarm. Tyranid forces continue to press the assault throughout the operation, forcing the Blood Angels to fight under constant pressure while completing recovery objectives.

Mission 5: “Breach in the Heavenwall.” Sergeant Carleon is tasked with defending Brother Quindar, a Librarian Dreadnought from the Tyranid Swarm, shutting down prometheum leaks before the explode.

Mission 6: “Astropathic Relay.” Carleon must escort Brother Quindar to the astropathic relay, once held by the Carmine Blades, and hold the position while the Dreadnought establishes a psychic link.

Mission 7: “Place of Challenge.” Lieutenant Carleon leads the Blood Angels into an Exocrene ambush while pursuing synaptic interference across Baal Secundus. The Tyranid response is immediate and overwhelming, forcing the Angels into a brutal fight for survival.

Mission 8: “Mortis Radzone.” The Blood Angels must navigate a toxic radiation zone on Baal Secundus to recover the gene-seed of Codicier Mordos, the last known wielder of Gallian’s Staff. Tyranid forces, far more numerous than before, press hard through the irradiated terrain, making this one of the toughest swarm encounters yet.

Mission 9: “Gallian’s Staff.” Carleon leads a strike force to recover the Force Staff of Gallian, an ancient Blood Angels relic lost during the Devastation of Baal. With synaptic creatures entrenched nearby, securing the relic won’t be enough. The swarm must be disrupted at its source.

Mission 10: “Landing Pad.” A Sisters of Battle gunship has been downed behind enemy lines. Lieutenant Carleon is tasked with reaching the crash site and escorting the surviving Sisters to safety before the Tyranids overrun the position.

Mission 11: “Sister Verity.” Carleon joins forces with Sister Verity in a failed extraction zone under siege. With no prospect of escape, they must hold ground together and push back against an overwhelming swarm on all fronts.

Mission 12: “Gates of Kemrender.” The Blood Angels must break through the ancient gates of Kemrender to reach a vital strongpoint. Tyranid resistance is entrenched, and Carleon must commit his entire force to breach the line.

Mission 13: “Genestealer Broods.” Deep beneath the surface, Carleon is ordered to destroy multiple infestation sites spawning Genestealer broods. The swarm grows by the minute, and every delay tightens the noose.

Mission 14: “The Salt Exchange.” A Tervigon, spawning Tyranids in vast numbers, has taken hold of the salt exchange. Carleon leads a strike team into the settlement to destroy the synaptic beast and eliminate the breeding grounds.
